Dota 2 Mods

For those who encounters ClothSystem Errors.

Download this.

Step 1:

    - Download and install Notepad++

    - Download and install WinRAR

Step 2:

    - Go to "?:\Program Files (??)\Steam\SteamApps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\bin\"

Step 3:

    - Right-click client.dll and click "Edit with Notepad++"

Step 4:

    - Notepad++ window will pop-up and this is how it looks

     Notepad++: STEP 1 - Click the binocular icon or Press CTRL+F

                STEP 2 - Find "-override" and click Find Next

                STEP 3 - Change the "-override_vpk" to "-override_vok" then save.

Step 5:

    - Open Steam, right-click Dota 2 and click Properties.

Step 6:

    - This window will show up. Click SET LAUNCH OPTIONS...

    - Type "-override_vpk" on Launch Options windows then press OK.

Step 7: 

    - Now, download a mod from this blog and open it.

    - Open the "files" folder

    - Extract everything inside it to: 
   "?:\Program Files (??)\Steam\SteamApps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\"

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'RE GOOD TO GO! ENJOY!

This mods are NOT VAC(Valve Anti-Cheat) bannable.

It's client sided which means only you and others who have it installed can see.
BUT as the famous person once said.

"It doesn't matter how other people see you.
What matters most is how you see yourself."



EASY WAY

But you will have to reinstall your mods when the valve/Dota 2 patches.

Follow instructions properly to make sure the mods work.
Easy Way.
1. Open the downloaded zip file.
2. Extract the files inside of a folder anywhere or create a new one.
3. Open the folder.
4. Run "Dota2Slasher.exe".
5. Play Dota 2 and thank me later :3


To uninstall the mods. Open Steam and right-click Dota 2 then select properties.
Go to "Local Files" tab and click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..."

This will uninstall everything you installed.

To Uninstall the mods.
Just delete the files that you copied/installed.

Did you know that you can modify the mods to your own wanted sets?
Here's how:
For example: 
You want Lina's Battle Caster's Hair and Bracer 
and Ember Crane's Dress and Necklace.


1. Download 2 Sets of Lina

2. Extract them in different folders.

3. Create a new folder(This is where you'll put the custom sets) 

FOR THOSE WHO ARE "-override_vpk" CAN SKIP 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e.

3b. Copy the "config.txt" and "slaher.exe"
to your newly created folder.

3c. Create another folder named files

3d. From "files" folder of both files copy the following and then paste them to your newly created folder:
From Battle Caster Set:
lina_arms
lina_arms.vvd
lina_arms.dx90
lina_head
lina_head.vvd
lina_head.dx90

From Ember Crane Set:
lina_belt
lina_belt.vvd
lina_belt.dx90
lina_neck
lina_neck.vvd
lina_neck.dx90

3e. Run "Slasher.exe or Dota2slasher.exe" and you're done. (Don't do the next instruction, as I said you're already done.)

4. Follow number 3d but not all of it. Just copy them to your Dota 2 directory and you're done too.
Example directory:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\"

If you wanted the sets you can always buy it on Dota 2 Store. 
It is always better if you have the legitimate items.
